As we all know, France has been in an unstable and very chaotic period for a long time now. Some problems include the lack of power in decisions the lowest estate has. Their representation is not equal to the higher estates. A second problem is that the government is trying to change things by making a "declaration of the rights of man and of the citizen". The problem with that is the declaration only protects the right of adult men, not women.
To solve these solutions I would have the lowest estate have MORE representation because they are 97% of the people who make up France! To do that, I will have the lowest estate have 600 people representing them, while the upper two estates with 300 people each. This will make voting in important decisions four our country ultimately equal.
A change I will make in the government is how they make use of the guillotine. People are dying here, there, and everywhere! It is not fair to trial a random citizen and kill them because you want to with the guillotine! My idea of giving everyone a fair chance in life is supported by John Locke. He thinks people are naturally good and not selfish. Saying that, nobody should be killed without any reason or without a fair chance in trial.
King Louis XVI was born in the King of Versailles, out of the seven children in his family. He was a smart child and was interested in locksmithing beginning at an early age. A fun fact about King Louis XVI was that he had a difficult childhood., including being neglected for his older brother (died at age 9) who was said to be bright and handsome. He took the big job as king in 1774, he wasn't even 20 years old yet! When I mean big job, I mean that he had many responsibilities. One including the government being in huge debt. He reigned for 19 years, but was executed in 1793 for many reasons, one including indecisiveness.
However, before King Louis XVI was executed he said ""I will never consent to the plundering of my clergy and my nobles. Fine actions had earned them their privileges; the king of France must conserve those privileges for them." This is saying that the upper class, including nobles and religious leaders, deserve to be where they are and what privileges they have. He must do everything in his power to protect their rights. What this says about him is that because the upper estates have a bigger voice in government, he will listen to them. He is an easily persuaded man who is very indecisive and won't know what to do for our country and it's future.
I should be the leader of France because I am an overall open-minded person. I have determination and hope that our country's military and economy will thrive and succeed. Also, I would be a fair leader, hearing opinions and strategies from all three estates. But why would I be a greater leader than the great King Louis XVI, it's because of my firmness. I know what the country wants and what I want, therefore mixing the two and having a definite solution. Unlike him, I would decide not necessarily quickly, but wisely.
I would make a great leader because I am open minded. I am open to new ideas suggested by the common people to help the common people. Although hearing people out, staying firm and making decisions based on partly what I want too would be something I'd do.
I would also make a great leader because I have hope for France. I know things can get rough and many people won't believe in a more positive future for us, but I know I can help France for the better.
Really nice work, let's throw some pictures up here and keep staying focused. You have been doing a really good job in class with getting your peers quiet and focused, keep it up.
